Colleen Parsons is the Director of the Health and Fitness Programs at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Kinesiology. She holds undergraduate degrees in Physical Education and Foods and Nutrition from the University of Alberta and a graduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Colleen is a Certified Exercise Physiologist and Nutritionist working mostly with endurance athletes of all levels. In her private business, CGP Consulting, she has worked with a variety of corporate and sport groups and individuals striving to improve their performances through better training and nutrition.

Colleen has been participating in running and triathlon for more than 20yrs and has completed multiple marathons, and Ironman competitions. She has discovered yoga and has incorporated it into her weekly routine – finding it core to keeping her balanced. She is keenly interested in health and fitness as a way of life. Helping people to find easy ways to incorporate both of these into their daily lives is both her motivation and her passion.


scoppleKim Wagner-Jones, MSc, RD

Kim Wagner Jones has been a Registered Dietitian for 21 years. As a marathon runner and mother of three teenage boys, she practices what she preaches! Kim worked in private practice from 1990 to 2005; a challenge she enjoyed both locally and internationally having spent nine years in Africa and the Middle East. She was awarded an Obesity Research Studentship from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary in 2007, and has recently completed a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology as well as a research project funded by the Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research. She is now working at the University of Calgary and Helios Wellness Centres, providing specialized nutrition advice unique to the needs of her clients, whether they are an elite athlete, CEO of a multinational corporation or pregnant mother focused on healthy baby development.
