1. FITNESS APPRAISAL

 

Understand your level of fitness based on the Canadian Society of Exercises Physiology standards and guidelines. The appraisal is designed to assess the five components of fitness; muscular strength, endurance and flexibility, aerobic capacity and body composition.   When re-assessing and tracking results over time, the Fitness Appraisal can be a great motivational tool. The 1.5 hour appointment includes the test, a discussion of the results and recommendations relating to the next step in reaching individual fitness and health goals. 2. PERSONAL TRAINING PACKAGES

 

The expert guidance and support of a personal trainer is key to attaining your health and fitness goals in a safe and timely manner.  Our services are available individually, as part of a package, or by the hour.

      2A. Custom Packages
      Customize your personal training experience by selecting from one of our hourly packages, the more 
      hours you purchase the more money you save:

      One hour * for existing clients only, cost:  $70.00 (non-member), $60.00 (member)
      Three Hours, cost:  $199.00 (non-member), $171.00 (member)
      Five Hours, cost: $332.00 (non-member), $285.00 (member)
      Ten Hours, cost:  $665.00 (non-member), $569.00 (member)
      Twenty Hours, cost:  $1,259.00 (non-member), $1,079.00 (member)

      2B. The Basic
      A 1.5 hour consultation to determine fitness and health goas. Includes a program design and   
      demonstration. Cost: Members $85      Non-Members $99

      2C. Premium
      Goal Setting consultation, program design and a demonstration with the addition of one of the following:
      A: Fitness Appraisal, B: Nutrition Consultation* (additional $40 charge), C: Posture Assessment.
      Cost: Members $171      Non-Members $199

      2D. Comprehensive
      Goal Setting consultation, program design and demonstration with the addition of two of the following: 
      A:Fitness Appraisal, B: Nutrition Consultation* (additional $40 charge), C: Posture Assessment.
      Cost: Members $228      Non-Members $265

3. BODY FAT PERCENTAGE TESTING

 

The Body Fat Percentage appraisal is a 30-minute session that uses the Jackson & Pollock, 7 site skin fold test and the CPAFLA, 5 site skin fold measurements to assess your percentage body fat and amount of fat free mass. In presenting the results, our Certified Fitness Consultant will discuss the implications and explain the validity of both tests. Cost: $35.00  To register, please call 403-220-5193

4. POSTURE ASSESSMENT

 

The human body must be aligned and balanced in order to function well. Poor posture can lead to injury, chronic back pain and add years to one's appearance. The Posture Assessment is a 45-minute session with a Personal Trainer, designed to appraise individual posture in a variety of positions, with the aid of photographic images. Recommendations will be made to improve posture, offset injury and to balance your exercise regime. Cost: $79.00 (non-members), $69.00 (members) To register, please call 403-220-5193  

5. YOUTH TRAINING

 

The youth personal fitness training program is designed to allow children of 16 years or younger to workout at the fitness centre under parental supervision. This package consists of 3 x 1 Hour sessions of one on one personal training with the youth and their parent or guardian, and is designed to train the parent on how to best train the teenager and safely supervise their workouts in the fitness centre. Please note the minimum age for youth personal training is 14 years of age. There are no exceptions. Cost:  $140.00 To register, please call 403-220-5193

6. PARE/PET TRAINING

 

This 4 Hour, one on one training program will introduce you to the elements of, and direct you in preparing for:  the PARE test which is for the R.C.M.P., the A-Prep which is for the Calgary Police Service, or the PET test which is for emergency response services. Benefit from the instruction, training and practice necessary to build the confidence and physical ability to pass these challenging tests.  Cost $265.00 (includes a one month membership to the U of C, Fitness Centre) 

*NEW*  Now available, Mini Sessions for A-Prep and PARE. 
Run through an hour mock test prior to your official test to help improve technique, time and ultimately your test score. Cost $70.00 For  more nformation or to register, please call 403-220-5193.

7. GROUP TRAINING

 

Train in a small group of 2 to 6 people, and experience the variety, constant supervision and support associated with Personal Training along with the added benefit of social interaction. Your trainer will meet with you for a one-on-one prior to group personal training so we can help you reach your personal goals. That way, the consistency of group training will be an excellent strategy to keep you focused on making your work out time effective. Choose from our fixed options, or form your own group and contact 403-220-5193 to arrange training.

8. SPORT TRAINING

 

Our highly qualified trainers have the skills and expertise to bring out the best in your young athlete.  Focusing on the ages 11-17, this training program will improve Sport Performance within a team.
