Prior to running the PET test, each participant is responsible for having a medical clearance form filled out by their doctor indicating that they are healthy and able to run the test. The form must be completed with a stamp from the clinic in the designated spot.
Participants must have the completed form with them on the day of the scheduled PET test or they will not be allowed to participate in the test. NO EXCEPTIONS.
The PET medical clearance form can be found here.
Participants will also be required to complete a waiver and a PAR-Q Form which will be available from the lead tester the day of the test.
PET testing will take place in the University of Calgary Jack Simpson Gymnasium.
Applicants must bring their completed medical clearance.
If you have run a PET test with us within the last six months, notify us in advance to
have your medical clearance form retrieved from our files.
Please arrive at the scheduled time and plan to be there for the duration of the scheduled test.
Paperwork will be taken care of first, followed by resting measures for heart rate
and blood pressure. We will then do a course explanation and a walk-through.
