Remember, we don't know how healthy you are - only you and your physician know for sure so if you have any questions, check with your doctor to find out if your are healthy enough to embark on an exercise program. Canada's Physical Activity Guide suggests that "Starting slowly is very safe for most people. Not sure? Consult your health professional.

Be realistic about your current physical condition. It's better to start at the 'bronze' level and work up to 'gold' than to get injured and do nothing.
